Yati's Tea -Ginger-
"Yati's tea" is a blend of Assam tea and ginger which has a bouncy and fluffy body.
Tea made from the leaves of camellia sinensis var. assamica also called Assam tea after the region in India where it is thought to originate has its place in traditional Chinese medicine as a digestive. This quality is elevated by the ginger’s stomachic properties.
The tea is pan cooked over a fire and so has a smoky quality to it and a slight warmth imparted by the ginger. We recommended trying it as a hot or cold infusion.
/// Yati's Tea Story ///
This tea is grown by Karen people in northern Chiang Mai, using organic and environmentally friendly farming techniques.
It’s thought that the tea trees have been planted by peddling merchants who came to the village of Karen from China 100 years ago.
